Multilingual support: Spanish, English.]ETQQ / 17 Abr 2019.- En horas de la mañana de este miércoles, el expresidente peruano **Alan García se disparó a la cabeza** en momentos en los cuales iba a ser detenido por averiguaciones en su contra en el marco del caso de corrupción de la constructora Odebrecht. **García, quien fue dos veces presidente del Perú, estaba siendo investigado** por la Fiscalía de ese [país](https://eltuqueque.com/el-dolor-se-llevo-a-la-senora-carmen-navas/) . El tema **Odebrecht** ha costado la investigación y prisión de varios ex mandatarios peruanos, entre ellos, Toledo, Humala, Kuczynski y ahora García. Tras dispararse a la cabeza fue llevado de inmediato a una clínica en donde fue ingresado y se le trató de salvar la vida. Los médicos mostraron la tomografía que se le hizo a García, y se pudo apreciar orificio de entrada y de salida, con daños graves a la masa encefálica del ex mandatario. **García falleció un par de horas después**. García ya había solicitado asilo en la embajada de Uruguay pero el mismo no le fue concedido, en noviembre de 2018. Según explica la Agencia EFE hoy, al destaparse el caso Odebrecht hace más de dos años, el mayor funcionario implicado del segundo mandato de García era el exviceministro de Comunicaciones Jorge Cuba, quien recibió 8 millones de dólares en cuentas de la Banca Privada de Andorra por la licitación de la Línea 1 del Metro de Lima. Cuba, que fue detenido en enero de 2017 y desde entonces permanece en prisión preventiva, se ofreció a los fiscales como colaborador eficaz (delator premiado) para revelar a otros implicados a cambio de recibir beneficios en una eventual condena.
